Wet Works: Sculpting with Paper MâchéStudents build and sculpt sturdy paper-mâché pumpkins from scratch — messy, hands-on, and seriously satisfying.

Painting & Detailing: Mixed-Media SunflowersPumpkins get painted and detailed, then students compose a layered mixed-media sunflower piece to take home.
About This Session
One week, two afternoons, and two showpiece projects. In this fall mini-session at our Waynesville, NC studio, grades 6–8 artists sculpt their own paper-mâché pumpkins and layer a mixed-media sunflower piece — sculpture, painting, and texture in one creative week.
Come create beautiful fall works of art using sculpture, painting, and mixed-media techniques. Day one is wet works — sculpting with paper mâché; day two is painting and detailing. Both finished pieces go home ready for the front porch or the fridge.
Just 10 seats keeps the group small, so Alyssa Gangemi can coach each artist through building forms, mixing media, and finishing details like a pro.
All materials — paper mâché, paints, and mixed-media supplies — are included in the class price.
